I am a visual artist and love designing outdoor living spaces that meet my clients' needs and lifestyles. My designs are sustainable and responsive to site context. Originally from Northumbria, UK, I settled in Northern California in the 90's. Extensive travels throughout Europe, Asia and Africa provide inspiration from diverse sources - from the horticultural excellence of Sissinghurst Garden in England, to Gaudi's iconic designs in Barcelona and the masterpieces of Islamic architecture in Central Asia.

I am licensed in the State of California as a landscape architect (LA#6066) and contractor (C27 #870209) with 30 years of experience in designing, building and caring for gardens. My goal is to connect people with the natural world.
