VISION DEVELOPMENT
Initial design consultation. Discussion of layout, style, project elements (planting areas, patios, walkways, curb appeal, children's play areas, water features, arbors, fences, privacy hedges, raised beds, outdoor kitchens, etc) and integration of ecological sustainability. Review of sketches, budget and timelines.
SCHEMATIC DESIGN
Inventory of existing natural and built features and identification of opportunities. Analysis of site conditions, microclimates, soil quality, sun/shade exposure. Drawings and plant photos to convey design concepts. Review of conceptual drawings showing primary features, planting palettes and hardscape elements.
MASTER LANDSCAPE PLAN AND CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION
Completion of layout and materials plan detailing dimensions, plantings, paving, fixtures and more. Plans for irrigation, hydrozones and outdoor lighting. Hardscape, grading and drainage specifications to inform construction. Permit submissions, compliance with water management ordinances and defensible space requirements. Planting plans and installation drawings for landscape contractor bids.
INSTALLATION SUPPORT
Plant sourcing and on-site placement of plants. Project management and installation observation. Referrals for and collaboration with contractors, arborists, plant nurseries, builders, irrigation specialists and maintenance gardeners.
